There's a Lack of Blogging Here

Hey alls. For all you hardcore Death Cab fans out there, the blog title was taken from the song, "Lack of Color." Yep. Anyways. Craziness. I just wanted to throw out some thanks and praise to TK and Kramer for a little disneyland action. That was rad. Also to Sk and the clan for letting me hang with them at Baja Fresh that was much fun. So, man, it's been awhile. I wanted to post about my new band, LoudSpeaker. We are a ministry based, acoustic, folk-rock band that plays at Coldstone on Saturday nights. It has been so awesome. We cover Switchfoot, Relient K, our own songs, and a lot of worship songs. We have been able to share the gospel and encourage kids with Christian songs. So last saturday we were playing, and a couple of guys brought their guitars out (which we know will happen because once you do anything it will become a fad). So they asked us, "Can you jam on one of our songs?" To which we replied sure, praying the whole time that it was clean and had no swearing. So, the chorus consisted of the lyrics, "It's all your fault, it's all your fault, i'll keep you to the dust with my shoes, and you know it's your fault." So, we played through this self-promoting song, smiling and enjoying ourselves. The song finally ends and i ask, "Can you hang with one of our songs," so... they can't really leave..what are they supposed to do?! So Patrick and i start playing "A Broken Spirit" which lyrics consist of, "a broken spirit, and a contrite heart, You will not despise, You desire truth in the inmost parts, a broken spirit and a contrite heart." After that we quickly transitioned into "How Great is Our God." The look on their face was awesome. They actually left after that, but i'm glad we were able to plant a seed. So.. anyways. I will keep you posted for a potential "LoudSpeaker Tour" to Washington, but we'll have to see. :) Peace and love, and i think i will be posting more pretty soon. If not, just talk to me when i get home for Spring Break!
